Simola overlooks one of the most beautiful towns (Knysna) in one of the most beautiful regions on earth (the Garden Route - on the southern coast of South Africa).
Getting here is easy: you can drive from Cape Town (500 km) or Port Elizabeth (250 km), or fly into George Airport (70 km from Simola) or Plettenberg Bay Airport (30 km). But whichever route you choose, you’ll find yourself travelling into nature’s garden, where the soaring Outeniqua Mountains form a dramatic backdrop to a rolling landscape of lakes, rivers, evergreen forests, sandy beaches and rocky shores.
From Plettenberg Bay via Knysna central: Follow the N2 in the direction of Cape Town - this becomes Main Street, Knysna. Pass a Total garage on your right, and the traffic lights at the junction with Waterfront Drive. Drive about 200 metres, and turn right at the traffic lights on Old Cape Road. Follow Old Cape Road for about 4,8 km; you’ll find our arched entrance gate on your left hand side, just before the tar road turns to gravel.
From George and Sedgefield: Drive eastwards on the N2 towards Knysna. Cross the bridge over the Knysna Estuary, and follow the road with the Estuary on your right until you get to the traffic lights at Old Cape Road. Turn left onto Old Cape Road, and drive for about 4,8 km; you’ll find our arched entrance gate on your left hand side, just before the tar road turns to gravel.
